7 Fishes (well… 9) to Celebrate 2018

NOT the “Feast of the Seven Fishes”!

Having traveled to the predominantly Roman Catholic Southern France in October where tons of beautiful seafood is served, we thought it would be fun to share some nice French wine with an ALL FISH dinner inspired (initially at least) by the traditional Catholic Christmas Eve meal… but then we realized that we could have more than seven… so we kept going!  And where else could we do this but Penn Avenue Fish?!

Thank you for joining us for the “feast of more than Seven Fishes not on Christmas Eve, but during the holiday season fish dinner!”

The Riches of Piedmont

Northwest Italy, comprised of intimidating Alps, beautiful hills, and fertile plains has been in demand for thousands of years. Countless groups have sought to own this region and its agricultural riches (Celts, Romans, saracens, French, Sardinians, Austrians to name a few).

We spent time there earlier this year and can say we really want to return since we only scratched the surface. Until then, we are fortunate to have found several of the greatest wines of the region to share with you including the Dolcetto enjoyed at a private home with the President of the Luigi Einaudi Winery, and the Marchesi Di Barolo wines tasted at a beautiful lunch at the winery (ask us about the Japanese Banker!).

The incredible Kate Romane and Black Radish Kitchen brought the meal to life with her knowledge of the local cuisine.

California Dreaming – Introducing Chris Loxton

Thank you for your interest.  The dinner is SOLD OUT.  If you would like to be added to the waitlist, please send an email to let us know how many seats you would like.  Thanks and stay tuned for more dinners later this fall.

What do you get when you combine world-class scientific talent with wine-making passion and put them right in the middle of Sonoma (one of the world’s best wine producing regions)?  I suggest that wine-making success is the result!   Chris Loxton embodies all these things – the wines clearly reflect his capabilities, passion and location.  How much do we like Chris and his wines?   His is the ONLY wine club in which I am a member.

Join us in the Gaucho Bodega for a fantastic Kevin Costa produced California-inspired dinner with FIVE LOXTON WINES (you may even be inspired to join the Loxton wine club).
